Part of the fun to creating an amazing toy line was organizing a photo shoot with our professional photographer. The black and white photos with the toys in color were a branding choice to emphasize the fun these toys bring to an otherwise dull day.
This open package design with try me callouts and cutouts was custom fit for each Puddle Jump™ toy to sell their unique features. The simple brand and characters were created by literally cutting out paper and putting the shapes together to make the duck, raindrops, frog, etc. This paper cutout style is illustrative and fun to stand out from the competition and emphasize the product.
Creating a detailed style guide was important to protect the brand. This guide could then be used for licensees and in-house to maintain and protect the Puddle Jump™ brand.
